You don’t want to compromise between femininity and protection? Discover our range of period thongs or thongs for light menstrual flow

When should you use a menstrual thong? At what point in the menstrual cycle? Why choose a menstrual thong over a disposable panty liner and classic? Why use a menstrual thong as intimate protection? Is the menstrual thong absorbent enough? What are the differences between a menstrual thong and menstrual panties?

The lace menstrual thong: sexy, reliable period underwear

Looking for a pretty piece of lingerie in lace, sexy, feminine and delicate? Discover our Louloucup menstrual thongs. This style of brief shows off your beautiful curves and your bum without ever looking vulgar. More high-cut than a classic brief but less than a G-string, the thong has it all figured out! It enhances your shape without overdoing it.

At Louloucup, we offer lace menstrual thongs. These are very pretty black lace period panties, very thin and discreet under clothing, just like the seamless menstrual panties.

The menstrual thong: far better than a disposable panty liner

Just like the period underwear classic, the menstrual thong helps you avoid using disposable sanitary products and polluting. Save money by no longer buying packs of panty liners, pollute less, and stop throwing away waste that is impossible to recycle! Use period lingerie is a true eco-friendly gesture that's easy to adopt. It also fits into an approach zero waste

At Louloucup, all our period lingerie, both thongs and panties, is lined with certified organic cotton. This cotton is incredibly soft and also gentle on intimate skin.

The cotton menstrual thong organic? Being eco-friendly has never been this sexy!

The perfect menstrual thong for very light periods

You can slip on a period thong if you experience very light menstruation with a slow flow or spaced discharges. If you don't need to change your pad or tampon throughout the day, you have light periods, a light menstrual flow

Louloucup menstrual thongs have an absorbency equivalent to about 1.5 tampons. They are therefore perfect for managing oligomenorrhea and light menstrual bleeding.

The menstrual thong is also suitable for unexpected bleeding and vaginal discharge.

Do you sometimes get those little unexpected leaks? Outside your period, do you occasionally have a few surprises, small bleeding unexpected leaks? It’s probably spotting.

A menstrual thong is therefore an excellent solution to feel good and stay dry at all times. Above all, it helps you avoid staining your regular lingerie and stressing about marking your clothes.

Moreover, the menstrual thong is perfect for absorbing and capturing vaginal discharge. These secretions can occur at various times of the menstrual cycle. Cervical mucus can be particularly present during ovulation.

To feel dry all day long, the Louloucup menstrual thong can be an excellent solution. Its thin absorbent layer sewn into the lingerie captures secretions.

An affordable menstrual thong

With Louloucup, the menstrual thong made in Europe is fairly priced. It is set at €28.90. You can also create a custom bundle to get a discounted price on each thong purchased.

Menstrual Thong FAQ

What are the best period thongs in France?

The best menstrual thongs on the market are absorbent lingerie pieces that are pretty, reliable, organic, invisible under clothing and affordable. These are exactly the qualities of all Louloucup menstrual panties, especially our menstrual thongs designed for light flow.

- +

What are the benefits of buying a Louloucup menstrual thong?

By choosing Louloucup, you’re opting for a French brand that manufactures in Europe using highly absorbent fabrics that are Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certified and non-toxic. There’s no risk to your health.

The inside of all our menstrual thongs is lined with organic cotton certified Oeko-Tex.

With our menstrual panty bundles, you also save a lot of money.

Menstrual panties are a reusable, long-lasting form of period protection. The exact opposite of disposable, polluting plastic tampons and pads. The Louloucup menstrual thong is also a pretty, high-cut, feminine and elegant panty that you’ll genuinely enjoy wearing.

Louloucup menstrual thongs are perfect for managing a light menstrual flow.

What counts as a light flow?

A so-called light flow is a menstrual flow corresponding to less than 30 ml of blood over the bleeding period. That’s not much. To give you an idea, a cup has a capacity of 25 ml.

- +

How do I know if I have a light or medium flow?

Do you need to change your period products regularly? Or can you keep the same pad or tampon on for several hours without feeling uncomfortable, even a whole day? Are your periods light or very light? When you wear a menstrual cup, do you notice that it’s barely filled?

If so, you can assume that your periods are not very heavy. This is known as oligomenorrhea.

In what situations can you wear a thong-style period panty?

The menstrual thong can of course be worn during your period. It’s suitable for women whose periods are naturally light. This type of underwear can also be worn at the end of your period if you usually have a heavier flow. By then, the bleeding is lighter and more spaced out. A heavy-flow period panty is no longer necessary; a light-flow menstrual panty like the menstrual thong is enough.

The menstrual thong is also very practical for dealing with light spotting or small bleeds between periods, known as spotting. Menstrual thongs are also useful for absorbing discharge and various vaginal secretions throughout the menstrual cycle.

During ovulation or due to contraception, you may experience heavier discharge. A light-flow menstrual thong is then ideal to keep you dry all day long. With a menstrual thong, your intimate area can breathe, with no damp feeling and no unpleasant odours.

- +

Can I wear a light-flow menstrual thong at night?

If you have a very light flow, if you’re at the end of your period and you hardly have any discharge left, you can absolutely wear a menstrual thong at night.

In other cases, a menstrual thong is not the best option for a peaceful night. At night, we tend to stay in the same position for a long time. Blood then pools in one area. Not all period underwear is designed to hold blood in that way. That’s why heavy-flow panties are often recommended for nighttime.

- +

How do you wash a menstrual thong?

Caring for a menstrual thong is similar to caring for classic menstrual panties.

Rinse it in clean water as soon as you take it off. Then pop it in the washing machine with your other clothes. A short 30°C cycle is enough. A hotter, longer cycle would damage the fabrics. Air dry it. Avoid the tumble dryer, fabric softener and ironing.

A well-cared-for menstrual thong will stay absorbent for a long time.

In what way are Louloucup menstrual thongs organic?

Louloucup offers organic, European-made menstrual lingerie. The inside of our panties and thongs is lined with OCS-certified organic cotton.

More eco-friendly, healthier and also softer and more comfortable, organic cotton only has advantages!

- +

Why choose a menstrual thong over a panty liner?

The Louloucup menstrual thong is reusable and lined with organic cotton. This certified natural fabric is safe as well as very soft. It’s gentle on your skin and intimate area, while feeling pleasant to wear and offering great comfort.

It has nothing in common with a disposable, polluting panty liner. Single-use and with a controversial composition, the panty liner that sticks to your regular underwear has limited absorbency, doesn’t lock in odours and doesn’t respect your intimate area.

Our Chloé thong and our Mia thong both have an absorbency equivalent to 1 regular tampon. These feminine, sexy thongs are ideal for replacing disposable panty liners.
